Good To Go

Gourmet food trucks are all the rage in Paris. The first truck made its debut 3 years ago. A bit of Americana is a hit in the City of Lights and I promised myself I would partake of the offerings last year but it didn’t happen. I didn’t see a food truck the whole 2 weeks I was there. Forgive me, but I wasn’t about to hunt one down. I don’t do that sort of thing. I prefer to stumble upon things. I assumed I would find a truck in one of the more logical locations that I would naturally frequent.
But here’s the stupid thing.
Food trucks are very common in Los Angeles. There is a row of food trucks parked across from LACMA every day. This is my hood and I have not once so much as sampled a french fry! Not once; and the trucks have been parking in front of the museum for years. I walk by, smell the wonderful aromas and tell myself I should sample a little something. But, I never do. I keep it moving.
It makes no sense that I would place food truck dining on my Paris to-do list, when I have not tasted what’s on the menu in my own back yard.
Well, I am proud to report that this gross oversight has been corrected and my palate is overjoyed!
I have been a fool.
