There is much handwringing in Britain and among the EU today and I am just glad I am far enough away that I can pretend the Brexit referendum vote does not affect me.
The result of the vote is a wakeup call to all those that think the impossible cannot be possible. As a regular and steady participant in the political process here in the U.S., I must say the results in the UK are startling.
For people in the United States that think racism, sexism, homophobia, anti-semitism are things of the past, think again.
